Slow Walking - Jin's Story
I must be a slow walker. It took me five decades to realize the purpose of my life. One snowy winter night in Korea, when I was a 12-year-old girl, I stood outside my mother’s tavern with my baby brother on my back, trying to get him to sleep. Behind the steaming glass doors, I saw my mother arguing with the town drunkards. Minutes later, when the drunkards tumbled outside, my father came out to go to work at the railroad station. With a broad smile, he patted my head.
